BESS Ełk and BESS Turośń Kościelna receive Occupancy Permits

BESS Ełk and BESS Turośń Kościelna receive Occupancy Permits – another major milestone for two of Poland’s largest battery energy storage projects connected to the #PSE transmission grid!
Last week, the #BESS Ełk and #BESS Turośń Kościelna projects, delivered by P&Q for Greenvolt Power, received their Occupancy Permits, marking another important milestone in the delivery of both investments.
Each project has a capacity of 200 MW and an energy storage capacity of 800 MWh, making them among the first utility-scale battery energy storage systems successfully connected to the PSE transmission network.
As the EPC contractor, P&Q is responsible for the comprehensive delivery of both projects – from design and civil works to electrical installation and grid connection infrastructure, including the temporary 220 kV connection for the BESS Ełk project. We also support the investor and the battery technology supplier during the Cold Commissioning and Hot Commissioning phases.
Projects of this scale strengthen our team’s experience and further confirm P&Q’s expertise in delivering utility-scale battery energy storage projects – one of the fastest-growing segments of the energy market.
