A key milestone in the Miejska Górka Wind Farm project

We have completed the delivery and installation of a 220/110 kV (206 MVA) power transformer at the STR Miejska Górka substation – the final and most critical element required to connect the project to the national power grid.

The project is being delivered by P&Q as the leader of the consortium with ONDE, acting on behalf of VSB Group, as part of an investment for the Grupa TAURON Group. The wind farm comprises 53 turbines with a total capacity of 190.8 MW and, once completed, will be one of the largest wind farms in Poland. Over recent months, we have designed and delivered comprehensive energy infrastructure, including:

two power substations,
a 220 kV cable line,
nearly 45 km of 110 kV cable lines.

The next phase will focus on commissioning works, bringing the project closer to the production of its first megawatts of green energy.
